Otto Wachsmann is a proven fighter and community leader who has dedicated his career to serving Southside families. As a father, pharmacist, and experienced business owner, Otto will always fight for rural Virginia and deliver results that help improve our community for future generations.
As a practicing pharmacist for over thirty years, Otto knows firsthand that we need to improve healthcare services in our region. Access to quality care is limited, providers lack necessary resources, prescription drug costs are too high, and it is nearly impossible to navigate the health insurance maze for patients and providers alike.
Following a brief return to community practice once Robins merged with American Home Products, Otto joined the faculty and was named Director of Experiential Education at the newly created Bernard J. Dunn School of Pharmacy at Shenandoah University. While working at Shenandoah, Otto earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree and served as President of the Virginia Pharmacists Association.
As a father of two daughters and former assistant professor at Shenandoah University, Otto understands the challenges facing parents, students, and teachers.
