As your next U.S. Senator, I will co-sponsor and vote for an amendment to the United States Constitution providing that no member of the United States House of Representatives may serve more than three terms and that no member of the United States Senate may serve more than two terms. The Founding Fathers understood service in Congress to be an act of temporary service and sacrifice not a career. The gargantuan growth of the federal government and of the power and influence of those in elected office has turned what was to be a limited term of public service into lifelong careers, enriching those members, their families, their friends, and their political allies to the great detriment of the American people. We must re-establish service in Congress to be of a limited term to guard against those who will otherwise become parasites on the body politic.
As the next U.S. Senator from Virginia, I will sponsor legislation to: 1) Complete construction of the border wall. 2) Supply pursuant to Article I, Section 10 of the Constitution (the State Self-Defense Clause) block grants to border states willing to arrest and eject illegal entrants for the purpose of hiring more state police and more National Guardsmen sufficient to ensure the arrest and ejection of all illegal entrants into the states receiving the grants. 3) Amend the asylum laws to require anyone who seeks asylum to do so through the U.S. embassy in his or her country of origin or in an adjacent country but not in the United States. 4) Cause anyone who enters the United States illegally seeking asylum or otherwise to be permanently barred from U.S. Citizenship and from the privilege of ever entering the United States again.
As your next United States Senator, I will sponsor legislation to provide tax deductions for every person who, and every business, health care provider, and hospital that, will supply at no cost or at a substantially reduced cost medical care for an indigent person, one who demonstrably cannot afford the cost of the medical service. For every dollar expended to provide needed medical care for an indigent person, a tax deduction would be provided that is equal to two dollars. In this way, individuals, employers, health care providers, and hospitals will have a major incentive to supply care to the indigent who cannot afford it, regardless of their insurance status. The statute will include provision for assessing the effectiveness of the measure in reducing reliance on health insurance by, and ensuring medical service for, the indigent. It will also help eliminate the one size fits all, higher premium, higher taxes, and perverse business incentives that come from Obamacare.
