Cynthia Marie Scaturico was born in Decatur, Illinois, and grew up in Lincoln, Illinois, in a blue-collar family. She now lives in Virginia with her husband, three daughters, and six grandchildren. As 1st Vice President of the Hampton Roads Republican Women’s Club, she fights for Republican priorities like Right to Work. Her roots and resolve make her a champion for family and freedom.
We defend the working class by keeping Virginia a Right to Work state, ensuring every worker has the freedom to choose whether to join a union without coercion or penalty. We fight against burdensome regulations and tax hikes that stifle small businesses, the lifeblood of our communities, so hardworking Virginians can keep more of their earnings. By promoting job training and fair trade policies, we empower our workers to compete and thrive in a free market, not a government-controlled one.
We protect parental rights by ensuring that moms and dads—not bureaucrats—have the final say in their children’s upbringing, education, and values. We stand resolute in safeguarding homeschooling, defending families’ freedom to educate their kids at home without intrusive government overreach or mandates. By pushing back against liberal policies that erode parental authority, we uphold the conservative principle that families, not the state, are the cornerstone of a strong society.
We end human trafficking by cracking down on perpetrators with tough law enforcement and stricter penalties, ensuring justice for victims and deterrence for criminals. We support increased funding for local police and task forces to dismantle trafficking networks, while securing our borders to stop this scourge from crossing into Virginia. By raising awareness and partnering with community organizations, we empower citizens to recognize and report exploitation, attacking this evil at its roots with conservative resolve.
